AgriTech Park Great Falls: Where It Is and Commute Times Across Town

Published on October 25, 2026byChris Burton
Two-lane road and rail line across open prairie at sunrise.

The Great Falls AgriTech Park is a rail-served heavy industrial park on the northeast side of Great Falls, Montana, south of 18th Avenue North and east of Malmstrom Air Force Base. The main entrance is at 18th Avenue North and 67th Street North, Great Falls, MT 59405.

It is owned and marketed by the Great Falls Development Alliance (GFDA), the economic development organization behind Grow Great Falls Montana. Janicki Industries is building its $800 million campus on 180 acres inside the park, with the first building expected to open by the end of 2028.

Most of what comes up when you search AgriTech Park Great Falls is Janicki news. This page covers the geography and the drive.

From most of the city, the drive is under 20 minutes. From downtown, it is about 13 minutes. The full table is below.

If you are weighing a move for a job at the park, start with our Relocating to Great Falls guide, then come back here for the drive times.

Location and access roads

The park sits on the east edge of the city, past the Malmstrom boundary, on shovel-ready land GFDA opened for industrial business development in 2016. Roads, water, sewer, and power infrastructure were built out before the first tenant arrived.

Three roads matter.

18th Avenue North is the northern boundary. It runs east from the city grid and is the road most drivers will use to reach the park.

67th Street North meets 18th Avenue North at the park entrance. Janicki held its July 10, 2026 groundbreaking at that intersection.

River Drive North runs along the Missouri on the north side of town and gives drivers from Black Eagle, the airport, and the far north side a route that avoids the center of the city.

The park is served by BNSF rail and is one of the railroad’s certified sites. That matters for the manufacturing and agriculture sector businesses it attracts, not for your commute, but it does mean you will see trains.

Drive times across Great Falls and Cascade County

Every time below is a typical free-flow drive measured on October 25, 2026 with OpenStreetMap routing to the park entrance at 18th Avenue North and 67th Street North. Road work and winter add minutes; these are the baseline.

Great Falls does not have a rush hour in the sense a larger city does. Expect a few minutes of added time at the 10th Avenue South lights and at the Malmstrom gate during shift change.

Winter adds time. A snow morning can double a drive from Belt or Cascade and add five to ten minutes inside the city. Plan on that for December through March.

The Malmstrom main gate is on 2nd Avenue North at 57th Street. The park and the base are close enough that living near one puts you near the other, which is why our Malmstrom separation guide sends readers here.

What else is in the park

The alliance lists these businesses at the park as of October 2026.

  • Montana Specialty Mills, a joint venture of Columbia Grain International and Evans Grain
  • Pacific Steel and Recycling
  • Helena Agri-Enterprises, formerly Helena Chemical
  • FedEx Ground
  • Ponderosa Solutions
  • Janicki Industries, construction started in 2026

Janicki is the largest project the park has seen. It is planned at 1.6 million square feet, built in phases over roughly ten years, and is expected to create about 200 jobs in the first building and 1,000 within five years, with the alliance and the company working on workforce training partnerships. Our Janicki guide has the full numbers and what they mean for buyers and sellers.

Areas within 15 minutes of the park

Every area below is described by distance, housing type, housing age, and price range only. We do not characterize neighborhoods beyond that. Fair housing law applies to agents, and we follow it. If you want to know what an area is like, drive it.

Area names match our relocation guide. Drive times are from the table above. Price ranges are from the Montana Regional MLS, October 2026, and move with the market.

Most of the new subdivisions in the city are on the north and east sides, which happen to be the closest to the park. The named projects and their status are in our new construction pipeline guide.
